2.O. BICYCLE GIVEAWAY PILOT PROGRAM TO SUPPORT CLIMATE ACTION GOALS [J. D'AMICO, J. ERICKSON, Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO, N. PERLOFF-GILES]: SUBJECT: The City Council will consider directing staff to organize a bicycle giveaway pilot program to provide free bicycles to community members to further the City's climate action goals. As part of this pilot program, the City will purchase a limited number of bicycles from a vendor to give to residents. Participating residents must commit to reduce the number of vehicle miles traveled or ride the bike a certain number of days per week in order to qualify and staff will develop metrics to measure the success of the program.
