This will create extra light pollution, interfere with neighbors' sleep and further commercialize a neighborhood overtaken by skyscrapers, traffic and noise. It will also bring down the value of our property were we to want to sell it.
This billboard is already extremely large and also has been illuminated at what seems like an exceptional level. Adding a massive amount of square footage seems like a poor choice, particularly in view of another request for a massive amount of billboard square footage directly across the street.
It seems that the impact of these billboards is not being assessed cumulatively. They must be, and the Krahe study should be completed before any additional billboard squared footage is granted.
I urge the city of West Hollywood to reject this over-reach by greedy business interests, and to, for once, consider the quality of life for those who have chosen to make West Hollywood home. A home is a place of comfort, but it is also an investment, and there is no question that should this go through, the result would be a diminished property, as well as a less enjoyable present.

As a resident lives on Carol Dr, facing the billboard, the electronic billboard as a giant light source affects our sleep, health, property values. It strongly affects the well-being of humans and animals in our neighborhood. The existing electronic billboard and parking lot lights already affect our sleep quality significantly.
