RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SCREEN ACTORS GUILD - AMERICAN FEDERATION OF TELEVISION AND RADIO ARTISTS (SAG-AFTRA) UNION AND ENCOURAGING THE RESUMPTION OF NEGOTIATIONS TO REACH A FAIR CONTRACT WITH THE ALLIANCE OF MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION PRODUCERS (AMPTP). DIRECTION TO LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS STAFF TO SUPPORT LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS AIMED AT SUPPORTING STRIKING WORKERS [C. BYERS, J. ERICKSON, Y. QUARKER, H. MOLINA, M. WATSON]: SUBJECT: The City Council will consider adopting a resolution in support of the members of the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and encouraging the resumption of negotiations to reach a fair contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). In addition, the City Council will consider directing Community & Legislative Affairs division (CLA) staff to support legislative efforts aimed at supporting striking workers.
