2.F. REQUEST FOR INDIVIDUAL LOCAL CULTURAL RESOURCE DESIGNATIONS FOR 7900 SANTA MONICA BOULEVARD AND 7906 SANTA MONICA BOULEVARD [N. MARICICH, J. ALKIRE, A. CASTILLO, T. GALINDO]: SUBJECT: At the request of the owner's representative for the property at 7900 Santa Monica Boulevard, on July 17, 2023, the City Council tabled the item to a date uncertain. The City Council will consider the Historic Preservation Commission's recommendation to designate two abutting commercial buildings located at 7900 Santa Monica Boulevard and 7906 Santa Monica Boulevard as individual local cultural resources. A cultural resource designation is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to section 15331 (Historic Resource Restoration/Rehabilitation) of CEQA Guidelines, which exempts projects that preserve historical resources in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards.
