Extensions should be allowed for existing uses, but we should be reviewing individual sites more carefully, including the removal of parking spaces/lanes to allow for more pedestrian access (particularly on the south side of SMB from San Vincente to Robertson). The outzones are a great amenity, provided we ensure sufficient pedestrian circulation (esp with sensitivity to ADA regulations)

Dear Mayor, Mayor Pro Tempore, and City Councilmembers, my name is Toru Toyokawa from La Boheme restaurant. We appreciate taking actions to help the restaurant businesses by taking agenda 5.C. Outdoor Dining.
One request is that we know and all the City Staff know how long La Boheme's application has been taking.
The permitting process takes very long time, and building would take longer.
The deadline shall be extended to June 30th 2024 for Permits and December 31 2024 for Constructions.
