TRIBBLE]: SUBJECT: The City Council will consider sponsoring the screening of the film "Freedom on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom", followed by a panel discussion, as part of the Human Rights Speakers Series. The film chronicles the experiences of people in Ukraine amid the Russian invasion and the current humanitarian crisis.

    Thank you, Mayor Erickson and City Staff, for initiating the item to support the screening of “Freedom on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom” as part of the city’s ongoing Human Rights Speakers Series. As a first-generation Ukrainian American with relatives suffering from the two-year long unprovoked Russian invasion of democratic-loving Ukraine, I believe this film will remind the public of this ongoing tragedy and I hope that it will spur further action to find a lasting solution.
