SUBJECT: This item directs staff to provide the City Council with regular updates on pending Builder's Remedy applications in the City of West Hollywood and to provide the City Council with a comprehensive plan for addressing these proposed projects.
I fully support the Staff Report's Recommendation. The City of West Hollywood has a consistent track record in supporting both increasing housing supply and ensuring sufficient availability of affordable housing. The "Build Remedy" cure due to what I understand was a technicality strikes me as both extreme and punitive. I hope that this agenda item receives full support from the Council.
