    I fully support this project.
It is a wonderfully designed project that will bring new life to this stretch of Sunset Strip that has fallen into disrepair and neglect over the years.

Tourism is an important part of our local economy. This new project will bring needed added revenue to the city.

    Please approve this project.

I support the 8850 Sunset Blvd project which will add 16 affordable housing units to the much-needed housing stock and revitalize that area. Not to mention, the art opportunities it will bring to the Sunset Strip--including the partnership with Music Forward, reimagining the Viper Room, and will include--workforce development, mentorship programs, internships, and the overall promotion of young musical talent, recruiting from diverse youth from Fairfax High School.

I wholeheartedly SUPPORT this project. That part of Sunset is a blighted area and this beautifully designed project will revitalize that stretch of our famous Boulevard. I hope you approve this project that has been way too long in the making. Thank you.

I oppose this request because West Hollywood doesn't need another hotel. West Hollywood should focus on diversifying its economy, and with 20 hotels in 1.9 square miles, other types of businesses are needed to revitalize our city. This project would remove space where just a few years ago, 9 small businesses had operated on Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood also needs affordable housing, and I'd support an amendment to the Sunset Specific Plan for an entire residential development, but not a hotel.

Adam Darvish- Reading about this development up the hill from my home brings back the horror that I had to go through due to irresponsible act of the London hotel management and our city while they missed to realize the rooftop bar customers are guided to exit the valet onto Larrabee at 2 am while intoxicated which makes them a killing rocket flying down the hill into our properties past a circle that is poorly designed. please say no if you care about residents safety. I survived to be a voice

Weho city council my family and I are pleading to stop this development at 8850 Sunset Blvd. exciting & fun as this project sounds it’s a BAD location!
It’s heavily populated the power grid is already taxed, power outages are a common occurrence.100s of us residences will be negatively impacted. Unlike many of the other developments on the strip there are so many apartment dwellings in the IMMEDIATE vicinity of this MASSIVE development. THERE ALREADY IS a huge hotel in its immediate vicinity.

This project is not ready for approval by the City on the grounds of significant concerns about the Final EIR. The Planning Commission’s recommendation of the project & acceptance of the EIR were hurried & flawed; omissions & errors in data presented in the Draft EIR were not addressed adequately in the Final EIR. Residents' objections were well-reasoned & substantiated with data. They were dismissed by the Planning Commission with opinion & belief. The EIR should be reevaluated.

    Dear City Council,
I oppose the 8850 Sunset/Viper Room project. The scale of this 11-story development is excessive for the neighborhood, likely causing traffic congestion and straining local infrastructure. The small number of affordable units seems tokenistic in a luxury-focused project. Additionally, it risks erasing the cultural identity tied to the historic Viper Room. Please reconsider this proposal in favor of community-centered development.

The mixed use development needs to revaluate its amenities for local residents. Adding hotel rooms and the bare minimum affordable apts is laughable because hotels do not allow for public usage of amenities. Another pool residents cannot access? Another gym we cannot join? Health and wellness is key for our residents especially with Artha closing. Please consider allowing residents to buy into the amenities in this space unlike the other hotels in the area. open the affordable housing list!

This will ruin the Sunset Strip even more. The traffic is unbearable already and it’s yet another monstrosity that will not serve the local residents. And you’re destroying yet another landmark The Viper Room. You should all be ashamed. Greed is a disease.

West Hollywood does not need another hotel, and the sunset strip definitely does not need another hotel either. The London hotel is right there. This plan will cause unnecessary pollution, traffic, noise, and displace local businesses. West Hollywood is a community and these businesses as well as the original viper room are the types of things that keep a community alive.

As a woman who often walks alone, having local businesses open like Sunset Liquor, The Viper Room, Roro's, and Ta-Ke provide a layer of safety. Sunset Blvd has so many empty blocks and storefronts, tearing apart a block with thriving businesses tears apart our community. A hotel does not build community for the neighborhood. We already have an empty lot two blocks west, and another empty lot at the gateway to the city on Santa Monica Blvd. Please don't destroy businesses for another empty lot.

Six years is more than enough consideration and planning. The city only has a few locations where we can build vibrant public spaces, and taking this long to redevelop sites means we have significant stretches of underutilized (or outright empty) lots/spaces. Our economic success is dependent on tourism / visitors; we cannot just glibly assume the city will continue to generate tax revenue without new investment, and tax revenue enables us to address other significant issues we face.
