1. ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN $8.2 MILLION GRANT AWARD FROM THE CALIFORNIA AIR RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD FOR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS [N. Maricich, F. Contreras, C. Shen, P. Portwood]: SUBJECT: The City Council will consider adopting a resolution accepting a $8,214,840 Sustainable Transportation and Equity Program (STEP) grant from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for pedestrian, bicycle, roadway safety, and transit electric fleet and service improvements and authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute a grant agreement with CARB.

    I strongly support this resolution and hope the city accepts the grant to make the listed improvements. Though I don't live in West Hollywood, I frequently bike to my favorite restaurants there, but I often feel unsafe. Improving the cycling experience on Fountain Ave will make it safer and encourage me to visit and spend more in WeHo.

    While I don't live in WeHo, I am a frequent vistor. A bike lane and out reach to the eastern portion of WeHo will be greatly appreciated. Ciclavia, has shown the community how important and needed bicycle lanes are needed in weho. Therefore, I please ask the city to accept the grant.
