1. ZONE TEXT AMENDMENT TO ENABLE THE ISSUANCE OF DEMOLITION PERMITS FOR VACANT PROPERTIES THAT POSE PUBLIC SAFETY RISKS [N. MARICICH, F. CONTRERAS, T. FARRIS, A. ROSENBAUM, D. RIVAS, V. ADOMAITIS, A. SHANDI] <br>SUBJECT: The City Council will consider a Council-initiated Zone Text Amendment (ZTA) to modify Section 19.50.020 (Demolition Permits - Applicability) of Title 19 of the West Hollywood Municipal Code, with a two-year sunset provision, to allow the issuance of demolition permits for vacant properties that pose public safety risks. This amendment applies to residential and commercial properties whether or not they have existing entitlements. The proposed ZTA to authorize the demolition of vacant property buildings that pose public safety risks is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines.
