A. 910-916 N. WETHERLY DRIVE: SUBJECT: The Planning Commission will receive an update on a minor amendment approval to an 89-unit, 100% affordable housing multi-family residential building located at 910-916 N. Wetherly Drive, West Hollywood, California.

    The developer request some major changes that should not be allowed to pass. The request to replace the green spaces with an enormous transformer that will be moved from the garage to the front corner of the street. This will undermine the required green space and trees in addition to noise nuisance.. Furthermore, adding a balcony will add bulkiness to the building rendering it unproportionally with the street.

    This is not a minor amendment. The enormous transformer required for a building of this scale was supposed to be housed in the parking garage to prevent noise disturbance to the entire neighborhood as well as to not be in public view. They are now proposing to move the transformer to the front corner of Wetherly Drive, which would produce a great deal of noise. This is a significant change that is detrimental to our neighborhood.
