MOLINA]: SUBJECT: The City Council will consider adopting a Resolution in support of Proposition 50, the Election Rigging Response Act of 2025, a legislatively referred constitutional amendment slated to appear on the November 4, 2025 Statewide Special Election ballot.

    The city should remain neutral in statewide politics. City governments function best when they remain neutral on issues not directly tied to municipal operations. By refraining from endorsing Proposition 50, the Council would preserve trust, ensuring residents feel confident that decisions are made based on the needs of West Hollywood rather than the demands of statewide politics. Allow and have confidence in the voters to decide this issue versus spending tax pay dollars on electioneering.
