MORALES]: SUBJECT: The City Council will waive further reading and adopt Ordinance No. 25-23, amending Chapter 5.70 (cannabis uses) of the West Hollywood Municipal Code to remove the neighborhood security guard patrol requirement for cannabis licensees.

    Cannabis businesses have a history of being a target for organized crime and other criminal activity. Public safety is #1 in many community surveys. The cannabis businesses need to handle the public safety concerns of the community by providing extra security measures.
