Support. Unelected commissioners or city staff, who aren’t directly answerable to voters yield too much power in WeHo, this lessens it. More power to elected officials who are able to greater reflect the will of the voters. I do oppose a blanket 4/5ths vote requirement unless a project is “beyond return,” as defined by CC. Until then, projects should remain open to simple majority votes if priorities change. This approach streamlines decision-making while keeping it accountable and responsive.
