F.2. ADDRESSING UNPERMITTED AND UNLICENSED SIDEWALK VENDORS [D. HANG]: SUBJECT: The City Council will consider directing Staff to explore potential amendments to the West Hollywood Municipal Code to provide additional tools to address unpermitted and unlicensed sidewalk vendors operating in the City. The intent is to strengthen the City's ability to protect public health and safety, while ensuring fairness for properly licensed food vendors and local businesses.

    Strong Support. Thank you Council member Hang for addressing this. Whatever can be done to remove illegal hot vendors pervading SMB should be done. Walking on SMB on weekends there are unlicensed vendors almost every 3ft. It not only creates food safety hazards for our residents & visitors, but also blockage of public right of ways to which they have no right. Consider petitioning the state to remove decriminalization of vendors, as I know this is the main hinderance for enforcement.
