F.3. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF PLANT BASED TREATY'S 2026 FOOD DAY IN WEHO EVENT [C. BYERS]:
SUBJECT: The City Council will consider approving a Co-Sponsorship Agreement for the "Food Day in WeHo" event, organized by Plant Based Treaty Los Angeles on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Plummer Park.
Thank you Councilmember Byers for this item. I hope these efforts will convert more residents to available plant based food options and save animals from inhumane conditions in food production and brutal killing. Overcrowding and Mutilation of animals should be banned. They are often kept in crowded, filthy conditions, enduring painful mutilations like castration, dehorning, and debeaking without painkillers. These conditions should be listed on meat packages so customers can be educated.
