4. STUDY SESSION ON INCLUSIONARY HOUSING [N. MARICICH, J. ALKIRE, F. CONTRERAS, T. FARRIS]: SUBJECT: The City Council will conduct a study session focused on inclusionary housing and provide direction on proposed strategies to better coordinate the City’s Inclusionary Housing Ordinance (IHO) with the State Density Bonus Law (SDBL) and strengthen affordable housing production Citywide. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Receive presentations, discussion, and public comment regarding the City’s inclusionary housing program and potential updates to the IHO; and 2) Following discussion and public comment, provide high-level direction regarding the policy areas and follow-up analysis staff should prioritize in returning with a refined Inclusionary Housing Ordinance update.
