I support the proposed indoor temperature standard, but keeping cool must remain affordable. Council should reverse its ill-advised decision to make CPA's most expensive 100% Green Power option our default. With heat waves becoming routine, the City should actively notify residents that they can switch to cheaper energy tiers. Requiring landlords to provide cooling while defaulting residents to the highest-priced electricity option only adds to the already excessive cost of living.
