I SUPPORT the bike lanes on Fountain Avenue. I have been hit by cars as both a pedestrian and and as a bicyclist and would greatly benefit from ADA compliant sidewalks and protected bike lanes. Prioritizing cars over people is not progressive and not the character of the city of West Hollywood. Please do not listen to the pro-car NIMBYs who say it’s a bad idea. Encouraging more biking and walking fits within the city’s long range sustainability goals.

I am writing in strong support of the Fountain Avenue Streetscape redesign. As a cyclist I already avoid this area whenever possible due to traffic being too dense, fast, and erratic. Making this corridor a complete street would help all people using all mobility types remain safe and connected and would greatly decrease the number of high-speed motorists using Fountain Ave as a bypass, which it is not meant for.

I am writing in strong approval of the Fountain Avenue Streetscape redesign. Fountain avenue is incredibly dangerous and needs to be redesigned to promote a safe and healthy neighborhood for all. Please do not wait any longer. We have already lost too many lives on this neighborhood road.

20+ year homeowner that lives directly on Fountain - bike lanes should be installed on SM Blvd & Sunset due to how far they reach for the entire city but also because it goes the entire length of the West Hollywood. I walk Fountain daily and its never been cleaned by the city with trash, dog feces, weeds, homeless items littered all over, yet the city wants to spend millions to then not do any upkeep on the new sidewalks, if they care about pedestrian traffic they would keep it clean always.

I am writing in strong support of the Fountain Streetscape Project. While many opponents focus on a singular aspect of the project (bike lanes), the fact remains that implementation will contribute greatly towards the goal of reducing VMT. As a cyclist who commutes on Fountain, I frequently encounter dangerous driving by motorists driving aggressively, sometimes at speeds approaching double the signed speed limit. Please approve Phase 1 of the project and prevent additional unnecessary harm.

I am vehemently OPPOSED to any plan that will reduce Fountain Ave from 4 lanes to 2. I've lived off Fountain for 12 years and traffic is already terrible. Reducing the lanes is a terrible idea and will only serve to make traffic much worse. I am not opposed to bike lanes if it does not reduce the vehicle lanes. But between a vehicle lane and a bike lane, I strongly prefer a vehicle lane. And there is absolutely no need to expand the sidewalks. There's hardly any foot traffic as it is.
