As a West Hollywood resident I am so excited for this project which will bring much needed housing and hotel options for visitors (which will reduce the burden on neighborhoods from short term rentals). This is exactly the kind of development we need in West Hollywood and I strongly support it! Thank you helping to build a more economically viable and affordable West Hollywood for all of us residents.

    Sincerely,
    David Miller

I strongly oppose this project and the displacement of small, long standing businesses that are vital to our community. Brick Fitness is more than a gym it is a sanctuary for WeHo residents and a safe inclusive space that fosters real community. There are many unused lots and underutilized buildings that could be repurposed for this type of development without pushing out local businesses. It’s a strong no.

I strongly oppose this project. Brick Fitness is pivotal business in the West Hollywood community that promotes both health and well being. It provides an important sense of community to the nearby residents. The proposed project would greatly disrupt the lives of those who live in the area. Traffic is already a challenge and this project would make the problem even worse.

I strongly oppose the proposed demolition that would displace BRICK Fitness. This gym is not just a business—it is a cornerstone of the neighborhood and a vital community space supporting physical health, mental well-being, and social connection. Replacing a deeply rooted local institution with a hotel prioritizes transient use over lasting community value. Once lost, spaces like this do not return. Please reconsider or revise this proposal.

I’m opposed to the proposed mixed-use development that would replace our current gym. This space isn’t just another business — it’s part of many residents’ daily routines and supports our physical health, mental well-being, and sense of community. Losing it would leave a real gap in the neighborhood.

No is no. Seven stories building would completely block the natural light to the preschoolers next door. No need to mention the dust, noise, traffic and unsafe factors.

I’m speaking in opposition because of the real impacts on families like mine. This area is already congested during school drop-off and pick-up. A large mixed-use project will add traffic, ride-shares, deliveries, and pedestrian conflicts, increasing risks for children every day. The scale is out of proportion with the neighborhood and local infrastructure cannot safely handle this level of added activity. I urge the West Hollywood Planning Commission to vote no.

Strongly oppose as this project will disrupt not only thriving local businesses that serve our community in richer ways than a hotel but also because of developers deplorable track record of gutting heritage buildings in West Hollywood without and then not completing submitted and approved projects. Please support our established educational, fitness and local businesses instead.

As a West Hollywood resident living near the proposed development, I strongly oppose this project. It poses serious safety and environmental risks and would require demolishing the beloved Brick gym community, which supports health and well-being.

I strongly oppose the redevelopment at 7811 Santa Monica Blvd, which would displace a preschool serving West Hollywood families since 1957. This institution provides vital early education and community stability. Construction would expose children to pollution and hazards, undermining public health and city values. Please preserve this historic site and protect our families.

These streets are already so narrow that trash day sends the area into a tailspin. There will be no parking for the nearby retail if you take away the public lot. Finally, there is a preschool that has served the community since 1957 neighboring this proposed project. Putting a high rise on top of it would be unsafe and inhumane.

My children go to Fountain Day School, and this project will shut down a wonderful pre-school that has been at this location since 1957. There is no way that parents will send their kids to go to school while this monstrosity is built. Kids can't be outside running around, or even napping, next to loud construction, dust and debris. You are essentially killing the school by approving this project.

Secondly, acquire more land for the project or change the scope. It's not within the code.

I strongly oppose the proposed development next to the preschool due to serious child safety risks. Traffic, rideshare activity, deliveries, and construction would create dangerous conditions for young children during daily drop-off and pick-up. A high-traffic commercial site does not belong next to an early childhood school, where a safe, calm environment is critical. I urge the planners to reject this location and prioritize the safety and wellbeing of the children, families, and staff.

I 10,000% strongly oppose this absurd idea. Aside from the already atrocious traffic on Santa Monica or the one lane street on orange grove which would make that area a nightmare, you would be affecting the students at fountain day school with the noise and debris caused by construction. WeHo doesn’t need another overpriced hotel. It needs a better infrastructure and better places for our children to have an education. This shouldn’t even be a conversation.

I strongly oppose this proposed development due to its proximity to Fountain Day pre-school, where increased construction and operational noise, air pollution, and safety risks would directly impact young children during critical developmental years. The project would also expose nearby residents and patrons to heightened noise and pollution. Additionally, the reduction in parking will inevitably increase traffic, worsen pedestrian safety, and strain already limited neighborhood infrastructure.

These streets are already too small and too packed for the residents that live here. Also, more importantly, there is a preschool there and no one needs a better view of our children! NO!

This is absolutely atrocious. I strongly oppose. This project would be built right next to a preschool. A preschool that has been a big part of our community. It would be unacceptable and irrespirable to expose our children to continuous strangers that would be occupying the building as well as constructing it. It is also unacceptable to expose them to all the noise and construction pollution this build would cause. It is putting our children's safety at risk.

As a resident in this neighborhood the last 10 years I strongly oppose. I have a child that attends Fountain Day School which has been there for over 60 years. This will greatly impact the neighborhood and the families enrolled at this amazing school.
